Social Media in the Time of Social Distancing: An Update!

I felt it was time to provide an update, especially as Governor Reynolds begins to relax regulations on businesses here in Iowa, including the coffee shops that I frequent for my meetings with current and prospective clients.
At this time I will continue to maintain services in a virtual capacity only. Meeting with clients via Zoom has not only proved to be productive but incredibly convenient for all parties. I welcome each of my clients as they are, whether it's with coffee and sweatpants or with their hair perfectly styled and a full-face of makeup. Whether from home or an office, we can come together in a way that allows each of us to proceed into our new normal with the level of caution that best suits our lives. While some people will eagerly return to restaurants and retail without hesitation, many will not. I don't want my clients to feel forced to be in a situation that doesn't seem safe to them, nor do I want to be in a situation that feels unsafe myself. By continuing to connect virtually it allows each of us the space we need and personal freedom to proceed as we choose on a given day.
The good news is, I have reopened my online booking calendar! Wix, my website host, saw the need immediately and added Zoom Meetings as an option to their online booking calendar. With the clicks of a few keys my personal calendar, Zoom, and online calendar were all synced and ready to go. I will continue to refrain from scheduling in-person speaking engagements at this time. When my world is in a place where that is safe I will announce that back to the world. If you need a speaker for your in-person event please contact me and I will get you in touch with some of the best minds I know. If you're looking for group training and are comfortable with Zoom as the manner with which the training is held we can get that scheduled. I will not be holding those in-person at this time.
I can't even begin to explain how much the support I have received from clients, family, friends, and followers has meant as I made this transition. It was tricky at first, but I learned quickly, adapted as always, and proceeded into a completely virtual world successfully. I am very open about my own health challenges and to not only protect myself but also my high-risk Mom who happens to be my roommate, this is the way that my new normal is going to look for quite a while.
